I know I look forward to rewatching FM 06.13’s holiday specials each year, listening to Jung Kook sing, “O, Holy Night”, as well as seeing him and Jimin do their karaoke version of V’s “Winter Bear”. Also, who doesn’t love the “Please Santa” episode of “Run BTS!”? They’re all so cute in their Santa hats…


Oh. Did you think I meant, like, your actual friends and family? This is awkward. No, I definitely meant BTS. And ARMY, of course. Who better to shake some tinsel and deck the halls with?

Join us this week as we do something a little bit different. In order to bring 2024 to a close, we decided to compile and share everything BTS and its members have done over the years to celebrate the holidays with us. From their very early collaborations with other Big Hit artists, to the current benevolent stranglehold Kim Taehyung has on the winter season, BTS is always there for us this time of year, giving us all things “merry and bright”.

So, buckle up.  Let’s go listen to the Rap Line get lyrical about being a K-Pop Idol during the holidays in “A Common Trainee’s Christmas” and “A Typical Idol’s Christmas”. We’ll watch watch V force (a very uncaring) SUGA to sing “Jingle Bell Rock” because he saw it once in “Mean Girls”. And last but not least, let’s write a strongly-worded letter to Big Hit asking for a full version of “Last Christmas” from Jin.

And that brings 2024, and the first year of ARMY Project 529’s blog to a close! What a journey it’s been so far, yeah? When we dropped the very first week of content on January 1st, we weren’t sure how it would be received, or if we’d even make it all the way until the end of the year. But here we are… 5,000 strong on our Ma City Map, and almost 3,000 in our Discord community.

Writing this blog for all of you each week has simultaneously been the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve done in a really long time. Not only have I learned more about BTS, but I’ve learned A LOT about myself. Here’s to 52 incredible weeks completed and 23 still to go! When we return next week we’ll begin “Yoonguary”, our exploration of “tongue technology” and say hello to 2025.
